Hardie was blessed with the breath of life on September 13, 1950 to the parentage of Hardie Daniel Jackson, Sr., and Geraldine Green Jackson in Vernon, Florida. Being reared in a Christian home Hardie accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was a faithful member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. He held several positions in the church until his health failed and he was unable to continue.
He was educated in the public school system of Washington County, Florida. Hardie served in the United States Navy and was a State Inspector for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for over 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife: Cherryll Hogans Jackson; two children: LaToya (KaRon) Jackson-Wells, and Mau Jackson, all of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren: Alicya Jackson, Alayna Jackson, Shailyn Wells, Mau Jackson, Jr., and Jayden Jackson; brother: Hurtis Tyrone (Clarissa) Jackson, Sr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Hardie was preceded in death by his parents: Hardie, Sr. & Geraldine Jackson; siblings: Hollis Devon Jackson, Sr., Ola Mae Jackson, and Glenda Denise Jackson.
